Julia Johnson works as a Legislative Assistant on OFW Law’s Government Relations team. In this position, she provides legislative support to the agriculture team and manages record-keeping for OFW’s Political Action Committee.
Julia provides legislative support to the OFW team in the areas of agriculture, food security, forestry, and trade. Before working at OFW Law, Julia served as a Public Policy and Government Affairs intern at InterAction where she researched and engaged with Congress on food aid and agriculture development programs. Julia also served as a Committee Intern with the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, as well as a Pathway Intern at the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service.
Julia is from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and developed a passion for agriculture while studying at Purdue University. She received her B.S. in International Agronomy from Purdue in 2019. Outside of work, Julia participates in events hosted by “Waggies” (Women in Agriculture in D.C.), the Purdue Alumni Association, and volunteers at a horse rescue facility.
