Trade Associations
Trade associations play a critical role in advocating for their members’ interests before Congress, the White House, and federal agencies. They also serve their members by educating them on legislation, regulatory requirements, emerging issues, and best practices. OFW understands the unique needs of trade associations and offers a broad array of services to food, pharmaceutical, pharmacy, healthcare, agribusiness, retail, and farmer/rancher associations and foundations. These services include:
Government Relations – OFW’s Government Relations team partners with trade associations to devise advocacy strategies and access to critical decision makers in Congress, the White House, and federal agencies.
Regulatory Counsel – OFW knows the business of medical products, food, and agriculture. Our attorneys provide insight into regulatory developments that affect our trade association clients’ members. We partner with our trade association clients to devise solutions to regulatory concerns. We frequently prepare public comments on behalf of our clients. OFW also serves trade associations as litigation counsel in major regulatory disputes.
General Counsel – OFW serves as outside General Counsel to numerous trade associations. We provide counsel on compliance with antitrust laws and governance, and general corporate matters as well as membership issues. We also serve our clients by providing legal advice on employment matters, draft and review contracts, provide representation in litigation, and assist with subpoena compliance.
