NALC Announcement of John Dillard's Meat and Poultry Labeling Webinar

OFW Law’s USDA Practice Head, John Dillard, will be providing a free webinar on USDA Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) regulatory requirements for labeling meat and poultry products on July 12th (Wednesday) at Noon Eastern. The webinar is hosted by the National Agricultural Law Center and is open to the public — CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.

John’s webinar will cover the basics of USDA-FSIS’ labeling requirements, USDA-FSIS’ prior approval requirements, generic label approval, and variations between labeling meat and poultry vs. FDA-regulated foods. John will also cover recent developments in meat and poultry labeling, such as the recent expansion of generic approval, cell-culture product labeling, and USDA-FSIS’ anticipated changes to evaluating animal raising claims, such as “grass-fed” and “raised without antibiotics.”

John and his OFW Law colleagues regularly advise meat and poultry establishments, retailers, and brands on developing and receiving approval for meat and poultry labels. He looks forward to sharing insights with the participants.
