Consumer Product Safety Law

OFW counsels companies and trade associations on product liability and regulatory compliance issues, including satisfying reporting and recall obligations under the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA), Consumer Product Safety Act (CPSA), the Federal Hazardous Substances Act (FHSA), the Flammable Fabrics Act (FFA), the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA). We regularly work with companies in evaluating new and existing consumer products, including risk assessment, product labeling, and warnings. OFW has extensive experience counseling product standards and professional certification organizations on product safety and certification issues.
