Crop Insurance and Farm Programs:
OFW Law has deep experience representing clients on USDA Federal crop insurance, agriculture programs, conservation compliance, cases before the National Appeals Division (NAD), arbitration and related litigation, and legislative affairs. Our crop insurance work has covered all aspects of the program, from assisting farmers in claims disputes to helping insurance companies negotiating Managing General Agency (MGA) agreements or addressing Risk Management Agency (RMA) compliance. We have helped several product developers win approval from the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) Board of Directors for innovative new insurance ideas, while aiding growers organizations in getting better coverage for their farmer-members. With respect to Farm Service Agency (FSA) programs, we have represented farmers on a wide range of matters before NAD, FSA county Committees, and agency officials. This expertise also extends to addressing swampbuster/sodbuster, which today is fully integrated into almost all FSA programs.
