Will FSMA Court-ordered Deadlines Set a Precedent?
OFW Law’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) practice has been described as the leading SNAP retailer practice in the United States. OFW Principal Stewart D. Fried provides regulatory and policy advice to national and local grocer, convenience store and other retailer associations, large supermarket and convenience store chains, third party providers and agents, as well as smaller retailers across the nation. During the past decade, the Firm has handled more than one hundred SNAP administrative and judicial review proceedings before the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) on issues ranging from SNAP trafficking to other program violations to denials and withdrawals of retailer applications for SNAP authorization. OFW’s SNAP practice group has also successfully obtained the removal of numerous owners’ names from General Services Administration’s System for Award Management (SAM) List following their retail food store’s permanent disqualification from SNAP and has prepared dozens of training plans for SNAP and the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) retailers.
