Angie Siemens Joins OFW Law to Enhance Services for Meat and Poultry Clients

OFW Law is pleased to announce that Angie Siemens, Ph.D., a seasoned food safety expert with over 30 years of experience in the meat and poultry industry, has joined the firm as a Senior Regulatory & Technical Advisor. Dr. Siemens will leverage her extensive background to assist clients in navigating complex food safety challenges.

 

Dr. Siemens brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to OFW Law, having held prominent positions at major meat and poultry manufacturers, such as Cargill, Smithfield, and Kraft Foods. Throughout her career, she has been instrumental in developing and implementing innovative strategies to mitigate risks from foodborne pathogens, including Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC), Salmonella, and Listeria monocytogenes.

At OFW Law, Dr. Siemens will provide comprehensive support in areas such as food safety compliance, HACCP and SSOP plan development, recall planning and management, and responding to regulatory enforcement. Her role will also involve assisting clients with preparing new technology notification submissions.

 

Dr. Siemens holds a Ph.D. in Food Science & Nutrition with a focus on Meat Science from the University of Missouri, where she also earned her M.S. in Animal Science. She completed her B.S. in Animal Science with distinction from Purdue University. Her contributions to the field have been recognized with numerous awards, including serving as FSIS 30 Years of Food Safety Anniversary Program Invited Speaker and the Purdue University Distinguished Animal Sciences Alumni Award.
