Washington, DC – Wednesday, August 30, 2017 – OFW Law is pleased to announce that one of its founding principals, Richard L. Frank, has been recognized as the Agriculture Lawyer of the Year in the 2017 edition of the Finance Monthly Global Awards.  Now entering its 9th year, the Finance Monthly Global Awards 2017 edition will be published in September.  Demonstrating the breadth of Mr. Frank’s expertise, Mr. Frank was also recognized by Best Lawyers® as the 2017 Health Care Lawyer of the Year for the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.

Mr. Frank served as OFW Law’s Managing Principal for 37 years.  He is a well-recognized expert on the labeling, advertising, inspection and safety of food and drug products regulated by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). To that end, he has testified many times before the U.S. Congress, USDA, FDA and FTC on labeling, advertising, and inspection issues.  Additionally, Mr. Frank is a former Chairman of the Board of The Food Institute (2003-2005), the food industry leader in providing marketplace and regulatory news, and he is the founder of Lawyers Have Heart, a fundraiser for the American Heart Association.

The Finance Monthly Law Awards recognize and celebrate legal professionals from all over the world who have consistently excelled in all aspects of their work and set new standards of client service.  Over recent months, Finance Monthly’s research team and judging panel worked to assess nomination entries and conduct extensive research involving clients and peers.
