Former CBP and USTR attorney brings federal regulatory and trade experience to the firm’s growing practice.
OFW is pleased to announce that Tara Mobaraki has joined the firm as an Associate in its Customs and Trade practice group.
Tara focuses her practice on customs and trade law, intellectual property, and forfeiture and seizures. She brings seven years of federal government experience advising complex regulatory issues, trade matters, and litigation support.
Before joining OFW, Tara served as in-house counsel in the Office of the Chief Counsel within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, where she advised on cross-border trade cases, tariff classification, export licensing, customs broker compliance, penalties, suspension and revocation proceedings, ethics, labor and employment litigation, and other operational legal issues. She previously worked at the Office of the United States Trade Representative, where she advised on U.S. trade policy, international trade agreements, maritime law, and the impact of foreign tariffs and trade restrictions. In connection with free trade agreements, she also supported enforcement and compliance efforts under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement and contributed to investigations involving labor issues.
“Tara’s government experience, practical approach, and problem-solving instincts make her an excellent addition to our team,” said Denise Calle, Chair of OFW’s Customs and Trade practice group. “Her perspective will be a valuable asset to clients navigating complex customs, trade, and regulatory matters, and will further strengthen our commitment to delivering thoughtful, effective counsel.”
Tara provides strategic, solutions-oriented counsel that helps clients translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into practical guidance, manage risk, and support their business objectives.
