OFW Law is pleased to announce that Hillel M. Tuchman has joined the firm as an Of Counsel in its Customs and Trade practice.

Hillel brings a unique and practical perspective to customs and international trade matters. In addition to his legal practice, he is a licensed customs broker and serves as in-house counsel for a customs brokerage company. This combination gives him valuable operational insight into how customs issues arise in real-world import transactions and how they can be efficiently resolved with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

That hands-on experience is an important benefit for clients navigating customs compliance, enforcement, and tariff-related challenges. Hillel’s ability to understand both the legal framework and the operational realities of import activity allows him to help clients respond strategically and effectively in a fast-changing regulatory environment.

Hillel works with clients across a wide range of industries, including consumer products, apparel, industrial equipment, automotive products, metals, e-commerce, and logistics services. He is particularly focused on helping businesses adapt to rapidly changing tariff environments and evolving CBP enforcement priorities.

“Hillel’s deep experience in customs and international trade law will be a valuable addition to our team,” said Denise Calle, Chair of OFW’s Customs and Trade practice group. “His combination of legal knowledge, customs brokerage experience, and operational insight will be a tremendous asset to our clients and our team during the present heightened enforcement environment.”

Hillel is admitted to practice in New York and before the U.S. Court of International Trade, and he earned his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law with a concentration in international law.
